Renaissance - Ornament
Decorated Vintage Bag
I bought the bag on Vinted, and the brass work at the top just said renaissance.
I have attached 193 charms, inspired by renaissance paintings, all over the bag. The lining has a couple of small stains even after a thorough clean, but is otherwise in great condition, so I decided to keep it. The bag has two interchangeable straps of different lengths. Each bag is a totally unique one-off item.
Bag size : length 15cms/6ins, width 21cms/8ins Finished size : length 20cms/8ins, width 25cms/10ins
Straps : 98cms/38.5ins and 50cms/20ins, short cahin came with bag, long chain and clasps from stock.
I make the charms of layers of paper glued together, cut into shapes and highly hand decorated on both sides with gold or silver leaf and paints, finished with coats of waterproof varnish so they are fine if you get caught in the rain!
